DUI Defense with FACDL President Hal Schuhmacher

 

 

On November 13, 2019, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer’s (FACDL) President Hal Schuhmacher will share techniques and strategies to use pretrial defense motions to reduce the state’s power and achieve better outcomes in DUI cases. CLE credit is pending.

 

Mr. Schuhmacher has been practicing criminal defense in the Marathon, Key West, Islamorada, and Key Largo, Florida areas since 1993. He attended Western Michigan University BBA in 1989. After beginning to attend the University of Detroit Law School, he was given the opportunity to work indigent appeals for the Michigan State Appellate Defender’s Office. From there, he studied abroad in London and completed his schooling in 1992 under the late, great Steve Goldstein who taught FSU’s Summer Law program.

Between 1993 and 1999, he worked in Public Defender’s offices across the Keys, rising through the ranks. From 1999 to 2002, he entered private practice as an attorney for Cunningham, Miller, Crimella, Hamilton & Wolfe – Criminal and Civil Litigation. There he focused on criminal defense, until opening his own office in 2002.
